GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
The Intern - Loan Operations learns and experiences the back office functions of the Loan Operations and Loan Servicing departments. This position reports to the Director of Loan Operations. The Intern - Loan Operations works alongside the Loan Operations and Loan Servicing management assisting in providing daily direction. The intern will be responsible for a variety of duties including data analysis, processing, data scrubs, reporting, as well as other duties as needed.
The Internship is Monday - Friday and hours to be discussed during the interview.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Learn to extract, process, analyze, and deliver report data for directed outcomes
2. Shadow and work with the loan operations staff to support Loan Operations/Servicing Management in researching loan problems and/or issues.
3. Shadow and assist the Quality Control team with daily, weekly, etc., reporting duties.
4. Attend meetings and working sessions in order to gain perspective on back office operations and banking in general.
5. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
6. Completes required BSA/AML training and other compliance training as assigned.
7. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
8. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Knowledge of a specialized field (however acquired), such as basic accounting, computer, etc. Equivalent of four years in high school, plus night, trade extension, or correspondence school specialized training, equal to two years of college.
GENERAL EXPERIENCE
0 - 6 months related experience and/or training.
MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE

Ability to read a limited number of words and recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers; Ability to write and speak simple sentences as a means for basic communication.

Must be pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, or related business degree with a 3.0 GPA or higher
