Location
- This position travels throughout the Dubois area and will be housed at the CenClear Preschool in Dubois, PA. Compensation for time and mileage occurs based on the reimbursement policy.
Compensation
- Hourly starting range of $14.55-$17.51
- 37.5 hours per week, for 44 weeks a year
Responsibilities

Provide Family Support:
- Conduct 24 personal visits annually for each family (12 for families with fewer high-needs characteristics, with approval).
- Facilitate at least 12 group connection activities annually.
- Complete child screenings, developmental assessments, and health records on schedule.
- Collaborate with families to identify goals and connect them to resources (e.g., food banks, literacy programs, WIC).
- Encourage father involvement and ensure smooth transitions for children exiting the program.

Plan and Facilitate Activities:
- Organize home visits, group sessions, and other service events.
- Actively involve parents in program planning and annual satisfaction surveys.
- Assist with parent participation in governance activities, such as the Parent Advisory Board.

Maintain Documentation and Compliance:
- Follow Parents as Teachers (PAT) best practices to provide accurate information on prenatal issues, parenting, and child development.
- Submit paperwork and complete required data entry promptly and accurately.
- Maintain confidentiality and report any suspected abuse or neglect as required by law.

Collaborate with Team Members:
- Coordinate services with other community programs to ensure seamless support for families.
- Consult with the Program Director on behavioral or developmental concerns.
- Participate in weekly center meetings and monthly staff meetings.

Foster Professional Growth:
- Stay updated on PAT curriculum and participate in mandatory professional development activities.
- Attend supervision meetings and complete an annual Core Competency Self-Assessment.

Recruit Families and Build Community Relations:
- Actively recruit families through outreach activities, completing 15 eligible applications annually.
- Represent the program at public relations events and encourage family participation in activities.
Qualifications

Education/Experience:
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- Minimum Requirement: High school diploma or GED, along with two years of supervised work experience with young children and/or parents

Skills/Knowledge:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with families, staff, and team members.
- Knowledge of community resource in the areas of pregnancy, parenting, health, nutrition, educational, employment, etc.
- Ability to enter data into a web-based data base with accuracy in a timely manner.
- Ability to plan and meet deadlines.
- Ability to facilitate group meetings and plan activities.
- Maintains professional relationships with parents, community members, peers, and supervisors.
- Flexibility with respect to time and days able to work (should be able to work some weekends and evenings).
- Access to transportation.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with Head Start regulations preferred.

Requirements:
- Must obtain the following clearances prior to hire: PA State Police Criminal History, PA Child Abuse History, FBI Criminal History, and Mandated Reporting Certificate
- Must obtain and maintain Parents as Teachers (PAT) Certification.
- Complete and maintain Pediatric First Aid and CPR (provided after hire).
- Must complete Child Development Associate Certification (CDA) (provided after hire) if candidate does not possess post-high school training in Early Childhood Education.
- Must be able to travel and attend additional training as required.
