- CenClear’s Preschool Center located in Corl Street Elementary School (Class 45) in State College, PA
- This is a full-time position.
- 40 hours per week, 44 weeks per year (includes 42 weeks of work plus ten paid holidays)

- Oversee classroom operations and management
- Oversees all classroom staff and provides direct supervision to support roles within their assigned classroom.
- Implement curriculum and conduct child assessments
- Engage with parents through conferences and home visits (minimum of 2 each)
- Supports parents in their role as the child’s advocate, first and most important teacher
- Maintains confidentiality in accordance with agency policy
- Encourages parent engagement in program governance by participation in planning, center parent meetings and policy council.
- Assists families in identifying resources, needs and methods of achieving their goals
- Supports families in the transition from their current program into the next environment for the child
- Implements PBIS strategies through the framework of the Pyramid Model
- Implements Al’s Pals to support social emotional development
- Develops professional relationships with co-workers, Early Intervention Providers, Therapists, school district personnel and outside agency staff
- Collaborates with co-workers in planning classroom activities, parent trainings and field trips
- Teach classes daily

- Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education (PK-4) AND-
- An active Pre-Kindergarten-4 (PK-4) certification. Teachers with current certification in PA could add PK-4 to current certification by passing required tests.
- Candidate could have a related degree and also have PK-4 certification
- Once hired, must obtain permanent (level 2) certification if not previously received.
- Experience working with children and families
- Must obtain the following clearances prior to hire: PA State Police Criminal History, PA Child Abuse History, FBI Criminal History, and Mandated Reporting Certificate
- Reach overhead.
- Lift and carry objects over fifty (50) pounds.
- Stand for extended periods of time with reasonable breaks.
- Walk and stand for periods of over one hour.
- Climb stairs.
- Stoop to move objects.
- Bend to reach objects from the floor.
- Use sweeper and other cleaning apparatus (push and pull).
- Operate a motor vehicle.
- Climb ladders and steps.
- Operate power equipment according to guidelines.
- Vision and hearing within normal limits.
