Job Description
Job Summary :
The Associate Counsel will provide legal support and guidance on a variety of matters to support the company's business operations. The role will involve drafting and negotiating contracts, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and providing general legal counsel to internal clients. The Associate Counsel will work closely with various company departments to mitigate legal risks and promote the company's business interests in a legally sound manner. Experience with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS), and other regulations related to the Federal contracting environment will be very helpful. Labor and employment-related experience and contract drafting experience also helpful.
Responsibilities :
- Legal Research : Conduct thorough and accurate legal research on a variety of topics. Prepare reports summarizing findings.
- Document Drafting : Assist in drafting transactional legal documents. Ensure all documents are well-organized, clear, and adhere to legal standards.
- Client Interaction : Communicate and negotiate with clients under the supervision of the General Counsel. Help gather information and provide updates on contract progress.
- Administrative Tasks : Perform various administrative duties, including filing, data entry, and maintaining legal databases.
- Compliance and Ethics : Stay informed about relevant laws, regulations (including, but not limited to the FAR, DFARS, labor and employment-related laws), and ethical standards.
- Ensure all activities comply with legal and ethical requirements.

Will also strongly consider applicants with no law degree but who have contract management and negotiation experience within the Federal contracting industry.
