Position Description :
Work closely with the DevOps Manager and engineering leaders from the business unit to develop, implement, and embrace new infrastructure and application deployment pipeline solutions. Establish a competitive edge for Cengage by leading our DevOps initiatives, ensuring our continuous integration and deployment processes are innovative and industry leading.
Responsibilities :
Successfully lead implementation of DevOps solutions, optimizations, and projects, assembling and leading cross-functional teams.
Collaborate closely with business unit technical leaders to determine their needs, leading them to adopt and support best-practice DevOps solutions.
Maintain deep contextual awareness of Cengage’s business and systems processes.
Drive continuous advancement in automation, monitoring, and deployment processes.
Lead the development and implementation of security practices for DevOps pipelines and cloud infrastructure.
Act as fourth-level engineering support, solving complex technical interdependencies.
Provide methods for observing and controlling cloud costs.
Ensure projects are completed on time and on budget.
Technical Proficiencies :
Proven technical leadership in CI / CD pipeline automation with 10-12 years of DevOps and Cloud experience.
Expertise with tools like Kubernetes, Puppet, Ansible, Jenkins, Artifactory, Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Jira, Sonar, Snyk.
Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Experience in AWS Cloud hosting.
Application development experience a plus.
Proven technical leadership in crafting, building, and maintaining complex technology infrastructure and application service environments.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects with geographically dispersed teams.
Provide guidance and mentorship to DevOps team members.
Outstanding written and oral communication skills.

The full base pay range has been provided for this position. Individual base pay will vary based on work schedule, qualifications, experience, internal equity, and geographic location. Sales roles often incorporate a significant incentive compensation program beyond this base pay range.
