What are the responsibilities and job description for the SVP, Business Development position at Cenlar?
The SVP, Business Development will partner with the Chief Client & Business Development Officer to significantly contribute to the strategic leadership for all facets of new Business Development and enhancements of existing product offerings to our client base. This position will play a key role in driving the development and implementation of Cenlar's strategic Business Development plan.
Responsibilities :
- Significantly contributes to the strategic oversight for all facets of new Business Development in partnership with the Chief Client & Business Development Officer.
- Consults with Executive leadership in the development and implementation of Cenlar's strategic business development plan; continuously analyzes and makes decisions regarding the growth or addition of certain clients and / or functions
- Significantly contributes to the strategic short and long-term growth, development and enhancement of new and existing product offerings to identify and capitalize market opportunities
- Drives new business growth and revenue opportunities for Cenlar
- Partners with the Chief Client & Business Development Officer to establish and implement the vision of the development of products and marketing strategies for loan servicing opportunities
- Maintains and enhances relationships with key partners, clients and customers throughout the mortgage subservicing industry
- Participates and drives in the company's interaction with future clients
- Improves business relationships with clients, specifically focusing on retaining customers in order to drive sales growth
- May oversee and mentor other Business Development leaders and professionals
- Utilizes strategic thinking skills to facilitate long-term planning, plan creation, and execution based on changing business and market profile
- Works with managers to develop and monitor individual and departmental goals and provides effective feedback and guidance on a regular basis; Holds managers accountable for meeting these goals
- Leads effective performance management and professional talent development across all respective departments
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, include but not limited to compliance and operational risk. Demonstrate consideration for Cenlar's reputation as well as our clients, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
- Ensure all activities are in accordance with Cenlar's approved risk appetite statement and applicable compliance and regulatory requirements.
