What You’ll Do
Responsibilities may vary depending on the specific position assigned, but they may include:
Process Controls Network/Process Computing Engineering
- Assist with Controls Network Hardware obsolescence
- Monitor Controls network for Anti-virus compliance and resolve issues that arise
- Monitor Controls network to ensure timely backups and resolve issues that arise
- Deploy approved Microsoft updates to Controls assets
- Maintain and update asset inventory list for controls assets
- Create and/or update network and fiber drawings plant wide
- Assist with maintenance and troubleshooting of existing networking and controls hardware
- Assist with installation of new networking and controls hardware for infrastructure upgrades
- Assist with maintenance and troubleshooting of Power Monitoring system onsite
- Assist with maintenance and troubleshooting of the OT Wireless Network
- Gain experience working with IT in the oil and gas industry
- Assist with troubleshooting Deskside software and hardware failures and identifying related network problems
- Support day-to-day operational activities of Deskside computing, mobile devices, telephony, desktop, laptop, workstations, and end-user support service
- Help with the support and maintenance of all aspects of Deskside environments
- Build a trusted relationship within multiple roles of business and IT groups
- Establish and maintain relationships with current IT Support groups
Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S. full-time for the duration of your work term and able to produce documentation upon request (e.g. passport, Social Security, etc.)
- Available to begin work on or around September 8th, 2025
- As this position requires the operation of a motor vehicle, a valid U.S. driver's license is required
- Previous experience is considered an asset
- Strong attitude for carrying out all work in a safe, cautious manner while following safe work practices
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Education
- Must be enrolled in an Undergraduate Program studying Computer Science/Computer Science Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems/Technology, or related disciplines at an accredited post-secondary institution at the time of intended work term and returning to full-time studies after the work term OR registered in an accredited post-secondary co-op or internship program for the duration of the work term
- Candidates currently enrolled in either a Masters or Ph.D. program at an accredited post-secondary institution may also be considered
- New graduates are not eligible for student opportunities
- May include frequency of travel, sitting, standing, computer work, lifting, driving, working at site, etc.
Safety Sensitive
- This may be a safety-sensitive role, and you will be required to wear all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during required work hours. Furthermore, you will also be required to pass the pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol assessment requirements
- Safety sensitive positions may require the operation of a motor vehicle. Applicants may be asked to provide a valid U.S. driver’s license if offered the position
- Students moving for their work term may be eligible to receive a lump sum payment to assist with relocation expenses
