Refined Products Rail Logistics Scheduler

About this opportunity:

Cenovus is hiring a Refined Products Rail Logistics Scheduler in Dublin, Ohio! This key operational role supports the U.S. Refined Products Logistics team, handling daily rail logistics for refined product movement into our distribution network. The Scheduler is the primary contact for Cenovus staff, customers, and third-party logistics providers, handling both normal operations and disruptions. The Scheduling team plays a crucial role within Cenovus' broader Upstream, Downstream & Corporate Strategy organization.

What you’ll do:

• Schedule daily rail car movements of multiple product types including Asphalt, NGL’s, petroleum coke, and other petrochemicals, working closely with Marketing, Trading & Manufacturing to align refinery supply with customer contract demand
• Coordinate with refineries to ensure accurate rail car billing to appropriate railroads and customers
• Adjust to customer change requests, supply variations, and unforeseen operational issues to minimize impacts to both Cenovus and customers
• Continuous management of the rail car fleet and empty car pipeline to ensure adequate car supply while avoiding congestion at Cenovus refineries
• Apply strong operational and commercial knowledge while being on-call 24/7 to handle any impacts related to operational upsets
• Assist with reconciliation of inventory volumes with mid and back-office functions and perform daily actualization of product movements in SRA (RightAngle) ETRM system

Who you are:

• Legally authorized to work in the US
• University Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Economics, Engineering or related field, with a minimum of 3 years of direct experience in commodity or supply chain logistics preferred
• Strong ability to analyze complex information & details, and present findings in a clear and concise format
• Independent decision-making with an ability to influence and direct decisions related to commercial operations and value-drivers aligned with Cenovus’s marketing and trading strategy
• Proficient in Excel and adapts easily to other related platforms (Experience in rail logistics software such as Bourque Data Systems or GeoMetrix preferred)
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in an inclusive environment with multiple internal and external partners
