This is a full-time remote role for a Compliance Specialist at Centauri Insurance. Reporting to the Vice President of Legal and Compliance, this role is all about crafting and maintaining top-notch compliance programs. You’ll be the go-to person for leaders, helping them tweak and perfect policies and procedures to keep everything shipshape.
The Compliance Specialist will be responsible for managing regulatory compliance, ensuring legal compliance, analyzing policies and procedures, and maintaining effective communication with internal and external stakeholders. Your mission? Ensure the company stays on the right side of the law while smashing its business and strategic goals!
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Stay on Top of Regulations: Keep an eagle eye on all relevant laws and guidelines.
- State Compliance Guru: Handle all state compliance tasks like a pro.
- Team Player: Work with Product/Underwriting, Sales, and Operations to pinpoint and prioritize compliance needs.
- Data Wrangler: Coordinate data submissions and be the main contact for market conduct exams.
- Audit Ace: Track progress, tackle business performance issues, and suggest action plans.
- Customer Service Star: Provide stellar service to everyone, from colleagues to customers.
- Growth Partner: Help the company hit its goals and grow profitably.
- Process Improver: Suggest ways to make our service the best it can be.
- Audit Manager: Oversee MGA and TPA audits as needed.
- Complaint Handler: Manage the complaint process and ensure thorough responses to DOI complaints.
- Log Keeper: Maintain logs as required by states.
- Admin Extraordinaire: Handle select administrative tasks with finesse.
What You'll Need:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, or a related field
Experience:
- 3-5 years' experience in the property & casualty industry, with a focus on compliance, risk management, internal audit, or quality assurance.
Skills:
- Strong writing skills for handling sensitive inquiries and complaints
- Proficient in task management and deadline tracking
- Strong decision-making, priority setting, and strategic direction abilities
- Capable of working independently and remotely
- In-depth knowledge of the property and casualty insurance industry and its regulations
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents, laws, and regulations
