Main Responsibilities:
- Receiving and processing cash, negotiable items, loan payments, deposits, withdrawals, and transfers.
- Sets up, closes, and balances the teller station.
- Records sales of monetary instruments.
- Assists customers with inquiries and provides information.
- Maintains a neat and well-stocked teller area.
- Cross-sells bank products and services.
- Follows established limits for protecting customer accounts and bank safety and soundness.
- Adheres to bank policies and procedures.
- Lifts coin bags up to 50 lbs.
- Assists with balancing Vault, ATM, Night Drop, and Coin Machine as assigned.
- Scans and processes bank documents and proof work.
- Exercises judgment when applying holds and making check cashing decisions.
- Cross-trains to open basic new consumer accounts.
- Adheres to work schedule and is flexible with availability.
- Maintains a positive, friendly, and professional attitude and appearance.
- Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.
- Completes required BSA/AML training and other compliance training.
Requirements and Skills:
To succeed in this role, you must possess the following qualifications:
- Mental alertness and adaptability to office and field area work routines.
- Equivalent to four years of high school or GED, with emphasis on office skills, shop skills, or others, plus 0 to 6 months related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Ability to use common sense and follow instructions.
