GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
The Loan Documentation Preparation Specialist prescreens and/or prepares loan documentation based on information submitted by lending staff. This position ensures loan documents are accurate and compliant with all state and federal regulatory requirements. The Loan Documentation Preparation Specialist is responsible for the CI file verification of customers before loan closing. This position ensures customer information is verified by the lender and is provided for the upload of the CI file to the host system. The Loan Documentation Preparation Specialist works regularly to maintain service level standards in a production environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Prescreens and prepares documentation for consumer non-real estate, home equity lines of credit, and commercial loan requests. This duty is performed daily, about 75% of the time.
2. Reviews requests for documentation before determining and applying a hold on the loan submission when applicable. This duty is performed daily, about 5% of the time.
3. Review CIP information for Borrowers, Guarantors, Beneficial Owners and Controllers, on each new loan, change in terms, business credit card and Capital Express. This duty is performed daily, about 25% of the time.
4. Completes CIP checklist in onBase. This duty is performed daily, about 5% of the time.
5. Prepares packages for e-signatures when applicable. This duty is performed daily, about 5% of the time.
6. Assigns various loan code(s) in the prescreening process to meet regulatory and company reporting requirements. This duty is performed daily, about 5% of the time.
7. Ensures corrections are made to loan documents as requested by the lender. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.
8. Perform OFAC checks on Borrowers, Guarantors, Beneficial Owners and Controllers submitted for CIP as applicable. This duty is performed daily, about 5% of the time.
9. Responds to phone, email, and internal messaging requests and inquiries from lending staff or other departments promptly and professionally. This duty is performed daily, about 5% of the time.
10. Reviews prepared loan documents for accuracy before releasing information to lenders. This duty is performed daily, about 5% of the time.
11. Responds to requests and tickets through assigned rotation. This duty is performed daily, about 5% of the time.
12. Approve specified placeholders in nCino to ensure offload to onBase. This duty is performed daily, about 5% of the time.
13. Upload documentation as provided by lending staff to onBase. This duty is performed daily, about 5% of the time.
14. Prepare administrative renewals as requested and complete onBase checklists for each loan before releasing documentation. This duty is performed daily, about 5% of the time.
15. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
16. Completes required BSA/AML training and other compliance training as assigned.
17. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school or GED, plus specialized schooling and/or on the job education in a specific skill area; e.g. data processing, clerical/administrative, equipment operation, etc., plus 2 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Ability to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, notes, letters and memos; ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to read and understand documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence. ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients, general public and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
