Centennial is seeking a hands-on, people-focused Plant Manager to lead the daily operations of a busy fabrication facility located in Natchez, Mississippi. In this role, you’ll ensure high-quality products are delivered safely, efficiently, and on time—consistently meeting or exceeding customer expectations. You’ll lead a skilled team, drive continuous improvement, and play a key role in shaping how the company operates and grows.

This position reports directly to the Director of Operations and is a key part of the company’s leadership team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the Floor
- Oversee all plant operations—from scheduling to production.
- Supervise workflow, monitor production quality, and manage overall fabrication processes.
- Keep jobs on track and on schedule without compromising quality.
- Work with other departments to resolve issues and maintain project alignment.
Prioritize Safety & Quality
- Promote a strong safety culture and lead by example.
- Conduct routine safety walkthroughs and inspections.
- Enforce safety policies and ensure compliance across the shop.
- Ensure all products meet or exceed customer and company quality standards.
- Collaborate with the quality team for inspections, audits, and process improvements.
Lead the Team
- Build strong relationships with employees through open communication and support.
- Provide coaching and leadership to help team members grow.
- Develop and implement staffing plans aligned with production needs.
- Make strategic personnel decisions and recommend staffing adjustments, as necessary.
- Foster a culture of accountability, growth, and team development.
Drive Efficiency
- Plan ahead and host project kick-off meetings and anticipate potential bottlenecks.
- Use data to identify and reduce inefficiencies and waste in operations.
- Explore and implement new tools, technologies, and processes to improve productivity.
- Align plant activities with company-wide strategic initiatives and goals.
Manage the Numbers
- Own the plant’s operating budget and ensure financial targets are met.
- Monitor performance metrics and take corrective actions as needed.
- Provide weekly progress updates and participate in monthly financial reviews.
Collaborate Cross-Functionally
- Communicate regularly with internal departments to coordinate priorities and resolve production or schedule conflicts.
- Maintain clear communication with customers, inspectors, and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance and alignment.
- Serve as a liaison between the shop floor and leadership on operational matters.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years of experience in plant or operations management, preferably in fabrication, manufacturing, or construction.
- Degree in a relevant field or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire, guide, and develop high-performing teams.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and with external stakeholders, including inspectors.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex operations with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills; able to stay calm and responsive under pressure.
- Experience managing budgets and tracking financial performance.
- Familiarity with process improvement strategies and emerging technologies in a manufacturing environment.
- Commitment to fostering employee development and providing opportunities for growth.

Pay: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
