Unit Specifics : Number of Beds : 16, Patient Ratios : 1 : 2, 1 : 1 for certain device patients, Unit staffing description : Free floating charge nurse to assist staff, Unit secretary and Administrative Care Tech M-F 0730-1530, Student Nurse Externs on variable shifts that assist nurses by performing tech duties, Type of equipment : Phillips bedside telemetry monitors, Hill-Rom beds, Alaris IV pumps, Documentation system : Meditech, Scheduling requirements : 2 weekends / month, 1 summer holiday, 2 Winter Holidays, Floating policy : C / L employees float as needed, Patient Experience requirements : None specific

Job Requirements
Must have : Strong critical care experience, including CVICU experience
Advanced skills needed : Skills with PA catheter and hemodynamic monitoring required, preferred experience with IABP, Impella, and CRRT
Procedures performed on unit : Provide care to immediate post-operative cardiac surgery patients, including ECMO, Centrimags, and HM3 LVADS. Perform central line insertion, swan insertion, intubations, etc. on unit.
Certifications Required : ACLS, BLS
Schedule Information
Scheduling requirements : 2 weekends / month, 1 summer holiday (Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day), 2 Winter Holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day)
