Centennial Peaks Hospital is seeking a dynamic and talented PRN (As-Needed) Intake Counselor to join our team of compassionate, dedicated professionals. The Intake Counselor provides telephonic and in-person risk assessment and crisis intervention, initial contact with referral sources and potential patients, coordinates the referral and intake process, determines appropriate level of care, facilitates the admission process and maintains communication with referral sources, families, patients and unit staff. They also provide information to clients, families and referral sources regarding treatment programs, insurance and admission procedures. Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or Human Services field required.
This position is eligible for our generous shift differentials: Weekend Day (Sat-Sun) $2/hr, Evening (Mon-Thurs) $3.25/hr, Weekend Evening (Fri-Sun) $5.00/hr
- must work three and a half hours (3.5 hours) into a shift to qualify for shift differential.

About Universal Health Services
- The ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment is critical.
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or Human Services field required.
- LCSW, LPC, LMFT preferred
- Prior intake, assessment, admission and crisis intervention experience with a psychiatric mental health population, preferably in an inpatient setting.
- Prefer knowledge of crisis intervention and risk assessment, psychiatric diagnoses symptomology, basic chemical dependency, age specific growth and development and crisis and behavior management.
