What are the responsibilities and job description for the EH COTA position at CENTER AT EDEN HILL?
Assist the Occupational Therapist in the planning, development, organization, evaluation and directing of occupational therapy activities.
Assist in instructing patient and family members in home programs as well as care and use of adaptive equipment.
Assist in maintaining files for patients receiving occupational therapy.
Maintain treatment records, patients files and progress notes as required.
Assist in determining appropriate treatment, selecting activities and exercises based on medical and social history of patients.
Assist occupational therapist in therapy activities.
Promote participation in individual and group recreational activities.
Follow established safety standards for the occupational therapy department.
Maintain the confidentiality of all patient care information including protected health information. Report known or suspected incidents of unauthorized disclosure of such information.
Treat all patients fairly and with kindness, dignity and respect.
Must possess an Associate degree from an accredited program conferring the title of Occupational Therapist Assistant.
Must have a minimum 2 years experience in a therapist capacity in a hospital, nursing care facility or other related medical facility.
Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant in Delaware.
