What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN position at CENTER AT EDEN HILL?
The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing direct nursing care to the patients. Such care must be delivered in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern the facility.
Essential Job Functions:
Inform nursing personnel of new admissions.
Make rounds with physicians as appropriate.
Meet with patients and/or family members as appropriate.
Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician.
Chart nurses notes in a professional and appropriate manner that timely, accurately and thoroughly reflects care provided.
Chart all reports of accidents/incidents involving patients.
Ensure that assigned CNA's are aware of the patient care plans.
Must possess a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university.
Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN in Delaware.
Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, patients, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long term care.
