Position Summary
The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and coordinating clinical education and training for students. This role involves working closely with clinical sites, students, and faculty to ensure the delivery of high-quality clinical experiences, along with occasional participation in classroom instruction and administrative duties.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with program leadership to align clinical education with program goals and objectives.
- Develop, maintain, and evaluate clinical objectives, guidelines, and processes.
- Coordinate clinical placements for students, ensuring alignment with accreditation and curriculum requirements.
- Serve as a liaison between clinical sites, students, and faculty to foster positive partnerships.
- Monitor and assess students’ clinical progress through site visits, evaluations, and performance tracking.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and competencies in clinical settings.
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to students during clinical rotations.
- Conduct clinical site visits to ensure adherence to program standards and address any issues that may arise.
- Organize and participate in orientation sessions for students and clinical instructors.
- Prepare and present reports on student progress, clinical site performance, and program effectiveness.
- Stay current in the field through professional development and integrate new educational methodologies.
- Participate in program-related committees and meetings, including curriculum development and accreditation processes.
Requirements
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience within the last five (5) years in a clinical or teaching role in a healthcare-related field.
- At least two (2) years of occupational experience in healthcare settings, preferably in surgical or operating room environments.
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology or related healthcare program.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a healthcare or education-related field.
- Current CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) or equivalent certification is required.
- BPSS Teacher License or eligibility is preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and mentorship skills.
Salary : $65,000 - $75,000
