What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mental Health Counselor position at CENTER FOR ABUSED PERSONS?
Full-time Mental Health Therapist(40 hours per week) needed for program providing services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. Therapist will provide individual, group and family counseling as well as crisis intervention and on-going counseling. Therapist will also provide counseling services to abusers in relationships where intimate partner violence is present.
Therapist will work two (or more) evenings per week to meet the needs of clients. Regular, overnight one weekend per month on-call and occasionally on weeknight on-call, also. The position requires a Master’s degree in counseling, social work or the like and initial licensure (LGPC or LMSW).

At this time, much work with clients is being done remotely, but some clients are choosing to be seen in person. Staff are working a hybrid of both in office and at home for the time being.
Masters Degree in Social Work or Counseling required. One year of related experience preferred. Must be licensed (LGSW, LMSW, LGPC, LCPC, LCSW).
