Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room (OR) Nurse to join our team on a part-time or per diem basis. The ideal candidate will be an experienced perioperative nurse who thrives in a fast-paced surgical setting. This is an excellent opportunity for nurses looking for flexible scheduling in a supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative patient care.
• Ensure the operating room is prepared with necessary equipment and supplies.
• Maintain sterile technique and follow infection control protocols.
• Monitor patient status during surgery and respond to any complications.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical staff for seamless workflow.
• Document procedures, patient responses, and any intraoperative occurrences accurately.
• Provide post-operative care and patient education as needed.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Nevada (or eligibility to obtain).
• Minimum 1-2 years of OR nursing experience (ophthalmology experience preferred but not required).
• BLS and ACLS certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique, patient safety, and OR protocols.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to a flexible work schedule.
