Center for Advanced Eye Care - Eye Associates of Bucks County and Simon Eye are partner practices with a combined 27 Optometrists, 8 Ophthalmologists, and 150 staff serving patients across the state of Delaware and in Pennsylvania with locations in West Chester and Bucks County. The Surgical Coordinator will be responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of surgical procedures. They will work closely with surgeons, surgical staff, and patients to ensure that all aspects of surgical care are coordinated properly, including pre-operative planning, surgery, and post-operative care.

What You’ll Do:
- Schedule and coordinate surgeries, including pre-operative and post-operative appointments
- Manage patient information and ensure all necessary documentation is completed
- Communicate with patients, surgeons, and other healthcare providers about surgical procedures and care
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain pre-authorization for surgeries
- Manage pre-operative patient education and preparation, including pre-operative instructions and medication management
- Prepare surgical consent forms and other required documents
- Ensure the availability of necessary surgical equipment and supplies
- Coordinate with vendors involved in surgeries
- Manage the surgical schedule and handle emergency or add-on surgeries
- Provide patients with pre- and post-operative instructions
- Manage pre-operative patient education and preparation, including pre-operative instructions and medication management
- Assist with billing and insurance claims
- Perform other duties or special projects as required or as assigned
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and surgical procedures
- Ability to demonstrate in-depth knowledge and understanding of and experience with Simon Eye operational areas, systems, and processes
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate across all levels of an organization
- Strong collaborating skills, and an ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines; high energy, self-motivated and proactive
