Job purpose
The Physical Therapy Technician will greet and assist patients as directed by the physical therapist or physical therapist assistant, as well as ensure the clinic and treatment rooms are cleaned and prepped for patients. This is an entry level part time position that needs to be available to work min of 2 days a week, about 15-20 hours per week. Some late shifts(12-7 / 730) availability is a plus.
Duties and responsibilities
- Welcoming patients to the clinic and starting them on warm-up equipment
- Being attentive to patient or therapist needs for assistance with treatment sessions
- Assisting patients with program under direction of physical therapist or physical therapy assistant
- Performing treatment modalities including ultrasound, vasopneumatic under direction of PT or PTA
- Cleaning treatment tables after each patient treatment
- Cleaning exercise equipment, work stations, clinic surfaces and spot cleaning bathrooms as needed throughout the day
- Assisting front desk staff with administrative duties and scheduling patients
- Other duties as assigned
