PACU Nurse Supervisor

We are seeking a PACU Nurse Supervisor to play a key leadership role in ensuring the efficient flow of patients through the surgical process while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and care. This position provides direct patient care, serves as a clinical resource, and ensures compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Supervise PACU/OR staff to ensure smooth operations and high-quality patient care.
• Provide direct patient care, monitor post-anesthesia recovery, and manage emergencies.
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists, physicians, and leadership to optimize workflow.
• Ensure compliance with AAAHC, infection control, and other safety and regulatory standards.
• Support staff training, development, and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Connecticut.
• 5 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• 2-3 years of experience in surgical services.
• Advanced clinical knowledge in perioperative and post-anesthesia care.
• Experience in Reproductive Endocrinology, Infertility (REI), or IVF is a plus.
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
