We are seeking a Senior Embryologist to join our team at CARS. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of specialized tasks related to embryology and IVF laboratory procedures. Youll work closely with patient samples, employing your technical skills and precision to support the success of our fertility treatments. Embryologists report directly to the Chief Embryologist and Operational Lab Director.
Responsibilities
- Identify and move oocytes in follicular fluid using a dissecting microscope.
- Load embryos into a catheter, assisting the physician with handling and positioning as needed.
- Conduct daily assessments of patient embryos using an inverted microscope.
- Perform oocyte microinjection with micromanipulators and pipettes.
- Use medical-grade laser technology to perform zona ablation on oocytes and embryos.
- Carefully remove cells from embryos using laser technology and micromanipulators, transferring biopsied cells with sterile technique.
- Execute freezing and thawing processes for surplus oocytes and embryos.
- Label and prepare culture dishes with sterile technique for next-day procedures.
- Stock supplies, perform quality control tests, maintain lab equipment, and monitor liquid nitrogen storage.

Working Conditions This position requires working primarily under microscopes in the in vitro fertilization laboratory. Youll be expected to follow strict lab protocols and work with liquid nitrogen and other specialized equipment.
