Summary The Finance Manager will help develop and maintain accounting principles, best practices and systems for collecting, analyzing and reporting information. The Finance Manager will advise on budgets, financial strategy, and financial reporting. This individual will jointly work with the Chief Financial Officer on audit and ledger preparation and supporting managers across teams with financial procedures. The Finance Manager will oversee Payroll and the setup of CADT’s financial systems and reporting. This position will manage the Payroll Associate and Finance Associate positions. The Finance Manager will also work with others on the Finance Team on financial tasks that include Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Prepaids, and others as assigned. The Finance Manager will be responsible for the setup and maintenance of the Chart of Accounts. This includes allocation accounts, unit entry postings and the communication of changes to Finance Staff to ensure expenses are being recorded correctly. This position will need to be well versed in the use of the Financial Reporting system. The system is currently used to create basic financial reporting but has the capability of more. The Finance Manager should be consistently working toward improved reporting with the Chief Financial Officer to allow the elimination of manual reporting. The Finance Manager needs to ensure the direct report tasks are being completed in an efficient and effective manner with continuous coaching and developing. This individual will work closely with the Director of Human Resources on all areas related to employee benefits. Essential Duties and Responsibilities : Manage the entire Payroll process and staff including all related reporting and audits Manage finance tasks related to accounts payable, prepaids, fixed assets, inventory, build of aging, etc. Manage the setup and maintenance of the Chart of Accounts including allocation and unit posting entries Gain full understanding of the financial reporting system and plan for continuous development of reporting for process improvements. Prepare, review / post, and work jointly and communicate regularly with staff and the CFO on all financial reporting and entries, internally and externally Work with the CEO and CFO on all areas related to budgeting Work jointly with the CFO on all areas of the financial audit Work with the Director of Human Resources on all areas of employee benefits Other tasks and projects as assigned Required Qualifications : Must have a 4-year degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance Preferably 5 years of experience working with Payroll, Benefits, and Finance Must have a mastery of Excel. Must be able to work independently and manage staff while working on large projects. Must be able to prioritize tasks and promote a sense of urgency when needed. Must be able to complete tasks with 100% accuracy. Must work well in a changing environment, always looking for ways to improve processes to ensure tasks are handled effectively and efficiently. Must be able to work on the fly by taking on projects and completing them within set deadlines. Must be able to work flexible hours to ensure projects are completed on time. Must have strong attention to detail, communication, and problem -solving skills. Confidentiality is a must as this individual will be exposed to sensitive information related to employee salaries and benefits. Preferred Qualifications : Experience in areas of accrual accounting, GAAP, and audit both internally and externally. Experience transitioning between different financial reporting software .
