Essential Functions
Essential Functions may include any or all of the following:
Core Functions
- Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of the LMS and SIS system functionality and interaction to verify the accurate transfer of academic information, such as attendance and grades, between academic systems.
- Provide support to leadership, faculty, and academic affairs staff by tracking student progress, attendance, make-up assignments, and other attendance-related entries as assigned.
- Develop and maintain reports to support Academic Affairs as directed by Academic Affairs leadership, including the aggregation, analysis, and documentation of learning outcomes assessment data.
- Provide support to academic affairs leadership in maintaining and verifying the alignment of the program curriculum with institutional standards and requirements.
- Coordinate and implement various projects as assigned.
- Maintain the integrity, accuracy, retention, and security of student records.
- Serve as a liaison with Admissions, Finance/Financial Aid, and the Registrar regarding student academic decisions, holds, and clearances.
- Assist Academic Affairs leadership by coordinating academic governance activities such as student discipline reviews, student appeals, and other governance responsibilities as assigned.
- Capture Academics department meeting minutes.
- Anticipate potential problems, plan, and implement interventions to address problems effectively.
- Assist the Director of Academic Affairs or Program Supervisors with any assigned projects.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Academic Affairs.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Strong data entry skills with accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong customer service skills.
- Proficient in computer skills and the use of standard productivity software such as Microsoft® Word©, Excel©, PowerPoint©, etc.
- Able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Experience in post-secondary education preferred.
- Experience with a Learning Management System and/or Student Information System preferred.
