Description

Job Summary: The Donor Relations Assistant will provide administrative and logistical support to the Director of Donor Relations, ensuring the smooth operation of donor engagement, fundraising initiatives, and volunteer programs. This role will assist in donor communications, event coordination, database management, and general office duties. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about donor stewardship and nonprofit fundraising. This role is part-time.

 

Minimum Qualifications/Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
  • 1-3 years of administrative, development, or donor relations experience in a nonprofit setting preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with donor management software preferred
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive donor information

 

Job Tasks:

  1. Provides direct support to the Director of Donor Relations, managing schedules, emails, organizing materials and assisting with special projects
  2. Assists in preparing donor communications, including thank-you letters, and impact reports
  3. Maintains and updates donor databases, tracking contributions, donor engagement, and volunteer hours
  4. Organizes and maintains donor files, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
  5. Assists in planning and coordinating donor and volunteer events
  6. Tracks volunteer participation and assists in recognizing volunteer contributions
  7. Supports donor outreach efforts, including coordinating/setting up meetings, making follow-up calls, and preparing donor engagement materials
  8. Assists with updating and maintaining Friends of Christopher Guild directories and tracking Guild annual goals
  9. Maintains a comprehensive knowledge of the mission, core values and vision of the organization and the children’s advocacy center model 
  10. Performs other duties as assigned
