Center for Children and Families, Inc (CCFI) is one of Cleveland County’s oldest and most successful independent, private nonprofit agencies. Located in the heart of Norman, CCFI offers a wide range of strengths-based services to vulnerable children, youth and families.
Status: Part-time, hourly, up to 20 hours, FSLA Non-Exempt
Supervisor: Family Resource Center Coordinator, Clinical Director
Pay: $20/hour
Job Overview:
The Family Navigator position will support families by providing support and case management, they will build relationships with our community partners, assist in conducting an annual community needs assessment to identify gaps in services, and attend parent advisory committee (PAC) to help support agency and parent partnership. This position will be responsible for Family Resource Center on the Go, and require traveling to nearby community agencies for outreach 1-2x weekly. Support in obtaining case management certification is available.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors in social work, social services, human services, case management, or other education and/or experience relevant to job responsibilities.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to communicate effectively with others orally and in writing.
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with staff and volunteers.
- Ability to operate a personal computer using e-mail, word processing and other applications related to assigned duties.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to organizational change.

- Ability to maintain organization and prioritization of tasks.
- Thorough knowledge of all job related policies and procedures.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality as directed by HIPAA and 42 CFR

- General knowledge of the impact of trauma
- Possession of a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and insurance coverage as required by law
Responsibilities:
- Ability to establish rapport and empower families by building on strengths, and providing individualized case management.
- Implement FRC on the Go by providing outreach in nearby communities.
- Assist in implementing annual community resource survey to help identify gaps in services for families in our service area.
- Form working partnerships with partner agencies, schools, and community organizers.
- Assist with Parent Advisory Committee (PAC).
- Expand on developing resource lists that can be used for referrals, including warm-handoffs to partner agencies when appropriate.
- Attend community events such as resource fairs.
- Attend required FRC support meetings, and planning sessions.
- Attend trainings as required, to include, but not limited to, Standards of Quality for Family Strengthening and Support, Developing and Sustaining Effective Parent Advisory Committees, case management certification, and other trainings as required.
