Center for Community Resources is looking for a compassionate mental health professional to join our Huntingdon/Mifflin/Juniata team as an on-call Crisis Intervention Specialist. Crisis intervention services include telephone and mobile assessments, emergency services coordination, crisis counseling, conflict resolution, and referrals to mental health and drug and alcohol resources.

This is a very rewarding position. It is a great way to hone clinical skills and gain varied experience, since crisis counselors work with all populations and coordinate with many local schools and providers.
We are currently hiring for weekend/overnight on-call positions. This position requires an individual to be on-call at least 3weekend days (Saturdays or Sundays) per month OR 2 full weekends a month. The on-call position is for primarily weekends but could also cover overnights/evenings during the week, as needed. We are specifically looking for an individual located in Mifflin or Juniata Counties for this opening.
The base pay for the position is $21.54/hour. The on-call rate is $23/hour, with the on-call incentive being $300 per week.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field. With major course work in sociology, social work, psychology, gerontology, history, criminal justice, nursing, counseling, education, theology, political science or related field AND one year of experience in the mental health field required.
- Associates degree in psychology/sociology or related field plus 2 years direct mental health experience.
Valid driver’s license, proof of auto insurance, Act 33/34 and FBI clearances will be required. Individuals who have accessed human services are encouraged to apply. EOE/ADA
