Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Loader/Unloader to join our team in a fast-paced distribution center environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently loading and unloading products, ensuring that all materials are handled safely and accurately. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to operate various types of heavy equipment.
Duties
- Operate heavy equipment such as clamp trucks, cranes, cherry pickers, and pallet jacks to load and unload goods.
- Perform order picking tasks to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations while handling materials.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to maintain operational safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely processing of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
- Assist in inventory management by tracking product movement within the distribution center.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a distribution center or similar environment is preferred.
- Proficiency in operating heavy equipment such as clamp trucks, cranes, cherry pickers, and pallet jacks.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the shift.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to warehouse operations is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow safety protocols diligently.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a focus on collaboration and communication.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.
