General Summary:

The Manager, Contract Administration, GMA is responsible for overseeing all contract administration for Global Markets Americas. This includes aligning contract support to the strategic goals and objectives of GMA, infusing a client-centric mentality while maintaining the objectives of GMA, talent development and deployment, and overall process development and adherence. This individual demonstrates the ability to be a collaborative team player and builds strong partnerships and working relationships within and outside GMA.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Execute strategic direction of the GMA Contract Administration team including allocation of talent and integration of work and work systems.
  • Lead contract development and management activities to ensure organizational principles of integrity, compliance, and risk mitigation.
  • Align contracting operations with the GMA’s strategic objectives and adhere to best practices.
  • Partner with CCL’s legal office, finance, and the Vice President - Sales to develop acceptable standards for contracts including language and provisions.
  • Lead GMA client contract review and redlining process to ensure favorable terms and conditions related to CCL’s legal standards, service level standards and GMA requirements.
  • Drive successful contract completion of a complex nature with clients’ and vendors’ legal and procurement staff through application of legal knowledge, expertise, and business acumen.
  • Drive overall contract production timeliness, quality, and process compliance.
  • Lead, develop and implement processes, tools and procedures for contract management and administration in compliance with CCL and GMA policy.
  • Manage vendor and subcontractor contracts in support of GMA client work.
  • Acts in CCL’s best interest identifying risks/challenges and recommends solutions.
  • Provide direction, leadership and professional development to GMA Contract Administration team, balance workload appropriately
  • Manage vendor relationship and implementation of third-party contracting systems and applications (e.g. Wrike, DocuSign, etc.)
  • Ensure accurate contract administration, including acquiring contract approval, electronic signature, filing, tracking, and reporting.
  • Creates a team culture of process excellence and holds team, and self, accountable.
  • Accountable for ensuring processes and measures are aligned to Global Markets America’s strategies.
  • Holds an enterprise-wide focus and understands the different business lines the office supports.
  • Partner with data privacy and security stakeholders on contract addendums and GDPR requirements.

Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in contract management. Contract experience in the education or service sector preferred.
  • Experience drafting, negotiating contract language, and interpreting legal terms, ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Experience identifying and successfully resolving legal and business issues typically encountered in procurement contracts.
  • General knowledge and understanding of data protection and GDPR requirements.

Pay and Benefits

  • The hiring range for this role is $80,000 to $90,000 annual. Offer will be commensurate with relevant qualifications and professional experience.
  • Position is incentive plan eligible.
  • This is a US-based position, offering a flexible hybrid work schedule, requiring candidates to reside within commuting distance of one of our three US campuses: Greensboro, North Carolina; San Diego, California; or Colorado Springs, Colorado. Hybrid work involves a mix of onsite and remote work, with at least 2 out of 5 workdays spent onsite.
