The Societal Impact division of CCL focuses on leadership development in four vertical areas of practice : K12 education, Higher Education, Nonprofit, and Population Health. The Development team works collaboratively with the different vertical directors, faculty, operations, and the CCL enterprise to provide high-quality, high-impact leadership solutions to our clients.
General Summary
This part-time position is responsible for leading the prospecting and acquisition efforts of the Societal Impact Development Team, while also managing a portfolio of prospects and clients, leveraging consultative selling to identify clients' critical needs and how CCL can help address them through leadership strategy and development. The SBP is an integral member of the Societal Impact (SI) Development Group, working with colleagues across the enterprise in service of CCL's mission and the mission of our nonprofit, education, and population health clients. This position has responsibility for identifying, cultivating, and transitioning prospects into clients, collaborating with and supporting the entire sales team with consistent proactive outreach. This role interacts with clients and potential clients through phone, email and face-to-face interaction.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Prospecting and Lead Generation : Engage people, process, and technology to establish new connections in SI's markets. Collaborate with Development Director and Portfolio Directors to design and implement strategic prospecting. Leverage marketing and business development work across CCL to generate leads for SI. Create seamless transitions as appropriate. Analyze current client base for both additional business and potential referrals. Follow up on leads from existing client referrals, the classroom, internal faculty, and adjunct faculty as appropriate.
- R evenue Generation : Effectively articulate CCL's purpose, mission, and values with clients, prospects, and client partners, with a focus on bringing new clients to CCL through proactive outreach. Initiate contact with prospects and dormant accounts, working with the SI sales team to grow revenue opportunities.
- SME and Strategy Support : Collaborate with Dev Team members to respond to complex RFPs and proposals, providing a Sales SME perspective. Work with SI Portfolio Leads, Faculty, Operations, PDC, and Development Team to ensure timely, accurate and client-focused work. Actively participate in overall team and SI strategy development and execution.
Education
BS / BA degree required
Experience / Work Background
5-10 years of experience in sales, account management, and / or customer relationship management
