Center For Diagnostic Imaging is a leading provider of diagnostic imaging services.
The Chief Technologist will lead the technical services team, ensuring that services are provided within professional standards.
This is a full-time position working in MRI and C-arm Monday-Friday from 8am-4:30pm; includes weekend rotation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Screen patients before examination for any precautions or contraindications pertaining to the examination.
- Perform routine and advanced radiologic procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in diagnosing and treating patient illness and/or injury with minimal supervision.
- Explain and prepare patients for procedures, providing support throughout.
- Maintain accurate patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
- Adjust scan parameters correctly, utilizing dose reduction techniques as appropriate.
- Follow physicians' orders precisely and conform to safety regulations.
- Produce diagnostic images and perform quality control tasks as assigned.
- Maintain positive work relationships with radiologists and other physicians.
- Remain self-motivated to increase understanding and knowledge of the field.
- Maintain equipment and ensure an orderly work area.
- Promote good customer relations with patients and staff.
Staff Management Responsibilities:
- Ensure comprehensive knowledge of company policies for all technologists.
- Assist in staff planning and hiring process.
- Manage overall staffing levels for adequate coverage.
- Monitor and approve timecards.
- Oversee training of new associates.
- Schedule routine meetings with Technical Operations Manager.
- Attend monthly Chief Tech meetings.
- Participate in staff performance evaluations.
- Lead regular staff meetings and employee one-on-ones.
Operations:
- Coordinate patient relations, ensuring high quality of service.
- Ensure compliance with state regulations and internal policies.
- Order appropriate supplies as necessary.
Requirements:
- ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing.
- Graduate of the American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography.
- Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable.
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
