Job Description:
This role provides technical and functional support to a variety of clinical systems in the Center. This includes 3 separate hosted or cloud Practice Management Systems and the third-party interfaces such as Labs, Vaccination information, EKG, electronic prescribing of medications, Patient Portal, Document Management, faxing from the medical chart, etc. and all other interfaces required by the EMRs.
Responsibilities:
- The Clinical Application Administrator is responsible for IT-related administration, including design and setup, maintenance, and enhancement of CFDS Clinical Applications and interfaces.
- Provide support for the EMR for the pediatric nursing home; Point Click Care, and any other clinical application and associated hardware.
- Tasks include Content and Forms development for the EMR application, EMR user security, assisting with testing and implementing software upgrades and patches as well as creating user and technical documentation for the applications.
- Learn and assist the Front office and Billing department with all the billing-related situations.
- Act as the liaison between application users and the IT department or software vendors to gain intricate knowledge of the applications.
- Work closely with the clinical staff to support day-to-day issues as well as gather and document specifications for changes necessary.
- Willing and capable of coaching and mentoring less experienced colleagues when needed.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of related experience in IT Applications; preferably experience in Clinical Applications such as Electronic Health Records.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field required.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Power Point and O365.
- Knowledge of and experience with Practice Management software required.
- Experience with the following: Windows-Based Operating Systems, MS SQL, SQL Server, Oracle SQL,.NET, HTML, JavaScript, Crystal Reports, MS Power-BI.
- Understanding of Medical Claims Billing.
- Thorough understanding of system and application development life cycle and large-scale software implementation methodologies.
- Knowledge of software repositories.
- Excellent time management and customer service skills - capable of managing multiple priorities, commitments, and projects.
