The Center for Dissemination and Implementation Science (CDIS) at the University of Illinois Chicago, in collaboration with Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, is excited to announce the 2025 Dissemination & Implementation Science Summer Program in Chicago (D&I in CHI).
Program Overview:
This 10-week internship offers undergraduate and post-baccalaureate students equitable access to early research opportunities in dissemination and implementation (D&I) science. Interns will engage in:
- Mentored Research: Collaborate with leading researchers on NIH-funded projects at UIC/CDIS and LCH/NU.
- Interactive Educational Sessions: Participate in weekly workshops covering D&I science, professional development, and research ethics.
- Networking Opportunities: Connect with implementation science faculty across both institutions.
- Research Presentation: Present your accomplishments to faculty and peers at the program's conclusion.
Intern Responsibilities:
- Contribute to research projects through tasks such as participant recruitment, data collection and analysis, literature reviews, and supporting program facilitation or training.
- Provide regular updates to faculty or staff supervisors.
- Participate in cohort meetings to discuss progress and related topics.
- Engage in professional development activities, including attending webinars, presentations, and follow-up discussions.
- Deliver a final presentation reflecting on key lessons learned or research findings.
Program Details:
- Duration: May 27, 2025 – August 1, 2025

- Funding: Pending federal funding approval, stipend availability will be confirmed in Spring 2025.
