Center Director Job Description
The Center Director serves as the leader of the center, responsible for delivering high-quality, individualized services to program participants in accordance with their care plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate regular interdisciplinary team meetings to ensure care plan goals and services are planned and implemented.
- Interface with participants and staff to ensure a high level of customer service and detail.
- Promote the PACE model of operations to internal and external customers to achieve ongoing census growth and satisfaction with services.
- Implement continuous process improvement projects to serve the community to a high level of excellence.
This position will be located in Berkeley until around June 2025, then the Center Director will transfer to the Brand New Center in El Sobrante.
Leadership and Supervision:
Provide leadership and supervision for the day-to-day operations of the center, developing new and more efficient ways to provide services.
Strategic Planning:
Participate and collaborate in the development and delivery of strategic planning initiatives with the Day Center Supervisor and other direct reports, peer Center Directors, Functional Managers, and Senior Leadership team.
Collaboration and Problem-Solving:
Collaborate with the Day Center Supervisor and other direct reports, peer Center Directors, Functional Managers, and Senior Leaders to problem-solve, innovate, and design programs and operations that serve the participants, staff, and community for improved quality outcomes and satisfaction.
Staff Management:
Model and lead PACE center team members to optimal performance by managing conflict, training, mentoring, counseling, and implementing disciplinary actions when necessary.
Direction and Oversight:
Oversee and provide direction to the team leaders for the day-to-day operations of the adult day center, clinic, rehabilitative services, home care, social and behavioral health programming, meals, and transportation services of their center.
Direct Supervision:
Directly supervise the Clinic Supervisor, Rehab Supervisor, Social Worker Supervisor, and center Registered Dietitian to ensure optimal performance of their assigned duties and functions.
Financial Management:
Adhere to the center budget, monitor spending, and identify opportunities for efficiencies and resource management.
Compliance and Reporting:
Ensure adherence to CEI policies, procedures, and practices, Federal and State rules and regulations, HIPAA requirements, and PACE program objectives. Train staff and implement procedures and practices that facilitate ongoing compliance.
Safety and Maintenance:
Ensure safety standards and practices are adhered to and the physical plant is clean and well-maintained and conforms to all regulatory requirements.
Community Engagement:
Serve as a resource for information on the PACE program for visitors, potential program participants, and conduct site visits, tours, and community presentations routinely.
Reporting and Communication:
Prepare reports including quality indicators and process improvements and responses to incidents and grievances.
Contract Staff Management:
Supervise the use and work of contracted staff at the Center.
Effective Meetings:
Run effective meetings including facilitating group processes, conflict resolution, and consensus building.
Communication and Confidentiality:
Communicate effectively with staff from a wide variety of racial, ethnic, and socio-economic backgrounds with various degrees of educational attainment. Manage urgent situations and the need to make immediate decisions. Keep confidential matters confidential.
