Senior Systems Engineer
The Center for Elders’ Independence is a PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the elderly) organization (PO) that uses an interdisciplinary team approach for care planning and implementing purposeful high quality, affordable, and integrated health care services to the elderly. Our elderly meet PACE requirements as prescribed by CMS and are referred to as participants. Our PO includes Adult Day Health Centers and primary care clinics, promoting participant autonomy, quality of life and the ability for individuals to live in their communities
THE POSITION : The Senior System Engineer plays a pivotal role within the IT team, overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization’s IT infrastructure. As a senior engineering position, this role provides technical expertise and mentoring, driving innovation and ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of all systems. This role requires a deep understanding of infrastructure technologies, proactive problem-solving skills, and a strategic mindset to support the organization’s objectives.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing complex IT environments, a proven track record of delivery within infrastructure projects, and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across the business.
The salary range for the Senior Systems Engineer position at Center For Elders Independence is $ 101,824 - $ 152,695 annual base salary. Salary is based on the market for the position, as well as experience, skills, abilities and work history.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Technical Escalation : Serve as a senior technical escalation point for complex issues beyond the scope of the Service Desk, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Infrastructure Design and Implementation : Lead the architecture, deployment, and optimization of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage systems, and cloud services.
- System Administration : Oversee the management and maintenance of operating systems, enterprise applications, and virtual environments to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
- Project Delivery : Contribute to the successful execution of IT infrastructure projects by delivering technical solutions and collaborating with project teams to ensure objectives are met.
- Security Management : Implement and maintain robust security protocols, monitoring systems, and disaster recovery solutions to protect against threats and ensure business continuity.
- Performance Optimization : Analyze system performance metrics and implement enhancements to improve efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
- Technical Expertise and Mentorship : Act as a subject matter expert, providing technical guidance to team members and fostering their professional development.
- Vendor and Stakeholder Collaboration : Manage relationships with third-party vendors, ensuring services align with organizational standards.
- Documentation and Reporting : Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for systems, processes, and infrastructure changes; provide regular updates to senior management.
- Continuous Improvement : Stay updated on emerging technologies, best practices, and industry trends to recommend and implement innovative solutions.
- Incident and Problem Management : Lead the response to high-severity security and operational incidents, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure timely resolution to minimize impact on business operations.
- Compliance : Ensure all systems and processes comply with relevant regulatory requirements and organizational policies.

Unlike other healthcare plans, CEI is not a "fee-for-service" plan. It is a “capitation” healthcare plan.
