The Center for Environmental Education and Discovery - CEED - is looking to hire an off-site Health Director for our Summer Nature Adventure Experience from June 23rd to August 22nd. We are an Environmental Education non-profit located in Bellport, Long Island. Our Summer Nature Adventure Experience is a Summer Camp for kids ages 5 to 18 to be outside and explore Nature and develop their own senses of curiosity.
Responsibilities
- The Health Director will go through all physicals in the two weeks before our camp officially starts on July 7th. During these 20 hours, the Health Director will scan through physicals to make a list of allergies and medical conditions and note any missing immunizations and paperwork.
- From July 7th to August 22nd, the Health Director will be in every Monday from 8-11 a.m. to go over any new physicals received and inventory medical supplies.
Qualifications
- Must be an NYS licensed emergency medical technician, registered nurse, licensed practical nurse, physician, or physician assistant.
- Must be CPR certified and Advanced First Aid Certified
- Must be available to work 20 hours from June 29th to July 5th
- Must be available 8-11 am on Monday from July 7th to August 22nd weeks of on site to check any new physicals
- Must be reachable by phone during the remaining hours of camp for any medical questions (any additional hours will be compensated)
- Must be knowledgeable of New York State Department of Health required immunizations
- For parents, if hired, you may enroll up to two of your children for the entire summer free of charge.
