The Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA) seeks a dynamic, entrepreneurial, and highly organized Senior Director for Operations and External Affairs to join one of the most impactful foreign policy think tanks in Washington, DC.

This role combines strategic oversight of organizational operations with cultivating and managing relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring CEPA’s continued impact and growth.
The Senior Director will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer (COO) to help programs across CEPA achieve the organization’s strategic priorities. The candidate will also play an integral role in ensuring that teams have the operational capacity to deliver impactful programming.
This position requires a strong record of organizational management, operational excellence, and external affairs experience. The ideal candidate should also demonstrate a creative and solution-based approach to problems, team building mindset, discretion, and broad networks in DC and Europe as well as a deep interest in transatlantic relations and policy.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the daytoday operations of CEPA, ensuring seamless processes across all departments, including HR, Communications, Events, Finance, and Business Development;
- Work closely with the COO to design and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures to improve efficiency and ensure CEPA’s resources align with organizational goals;
- Provide highlevel guidance to program directors across CEPA to operationalize strategic priorities and enable effective implementation of organizational initiatives;
- Build and manage strategic partnerships with government agencies, corporate partners, and peer institutions;
- Play a leading role in developing and implementing external outreach plans to strengthen CEPA’s engagement with key stakeholders;
- Represent CEPA at highprofile meetings, events, and conferences, strengthening the organization’s presence in the transatlantic policy space.
- Bachelor’s degree required; master's degree in a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 710 years of professional experience in management, operations, or external affairs, with a proven track record of leadership in a dynamic, fastpaced environment.
- Exceptional organizational and problemsolving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with project management tools.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to represent CEPA effectively to diverse audiences.
- Experience working in the transatlantic policy space or related fields is highly preferred.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to CEPA’s mission and values, with a deep understanding of transatlantic relations.

Salary : $130,000 - $150,000
