Summary
Under the general supervision of the Mental Health Director, the LCSW works as part of a mental health care team to provide high-quality care to a diverse patient population to fulfill the following responsibilities in a high volume, multi-specialty practice in a Federally Qualified Health Center:

Summary
Under the general supervision of the Mental Health Director, the LCSW works as part of a mental health care team to provide high-quality care to a diverse patient population to fulfill the following responsibilities in a high volume, multi-specialty practice in a Federally Qualified Health Center:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in assessing, planning, arranging, and implementing psychosocial programs.
- Responsible for the content of education and counseling programs for individual patients and groups of patients and serves as liaison to community, individuals, and groups as appropriate.
- Counsel patients and interpret to professional and lay groups the unique psychosocial needs of patients by identifying psychosocial disorders.
- Conduct surveys and studies relating to psychosocial status and patterns of population groups as directed. Job
- Review and evaluate recent psychosocial health research and interpret it to professionals and patients.
- Perform short-term counseling and crisis intervention as necessary.
- Assist in implementing community and social programs as a professional counselor following HRSA grants/contracts with federal, state, and local agencies and mandates of service requirements with those grants/contracts.
- Prepare psychosocial educational materials as needed or required.
- Coordinate with clinical, health education, community health, and other staff members to provide patient services. Provide referrals for services needed.
- Coordinate with other organizational entities involved in psychosocial and mental health services.
- Use tests, measurements, and scales for general and specific assessments and objective patient criteria to provide services and evaluation procedures.
- Provide in-service presentations to staff as needed or required.
- Provide community service information as an outreach worker such as required.
- Conduct health-related educational presentations to adults and teens in school and clinical settings.
- Assume other responsibilities as directed.
- Knowledge of the appropriate level of care

- Excellent customer service, prioritizing workload, and excellent communication skills
- Ability to identify appropriate level of care, adhere to the standard of care
- Ability to interact effectively with diverse cultural, educational, racial, and ethnic backgrounds
- Work as an effective team leader; establish effective interpersonal work relationships; work toward goals and objectives of CFHE
- Masters in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or an acceptable related field required.
- Experience in an ambulatory health center preferred.
- Self- starter, capable of managing staff, giving directions to others, and working under pressure in certain cases.
- Requires someone familiar with and sensitive to Hispanic culture, family customs, and child-rearing practices.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
- Familiarity with multicultural groups, previous work experience in a multicultural setting, and willingness to enroll in language and multicultural coursework to supplement training if necessary.
- LCSW License as Clinical Social Worker
- Master’s degree.
- Must have at least 3-5 years of experience and feel comfortable providing comprehensive treatment plans for their patients.
- Exceptional clinical and communication skills are a must.
- Must be personable and enjoy working in a fast-paced, high-volume, patient-centered team environment.
