We currently have an open position for an Information Technologist. This is an hourly, non-exempt full-time position.
The Center for Family Health is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) located in Jackson, Michigan. We are a multi-specialty clinic with practitioners specializing in the areas of Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and Ob/Gyn. Our agency has expanded greatly over the years and now has our medical, dental, pharmacy and support services as well as four school-based health centers in the Jackson area. Position Summary:
The Information Technologist is responsible for providing a broad range of technical support for the communication networks and systems of the Center to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Configure, install and maintain information systems hardware. Create and deploy images, Troubleshoots and resolves computer hardware issues/problems. Initiate warranty replacement and perform warranty hardware replacements.
- Maintains computerized inventory of computer related equipment by documenting new equipment received and disposing of equipment.
- Maintains network through troubleshooting driver issues on computer systems or identifying the location and issue with a physical port.
- Create and maintain Active Directory profiles. Review access and provide employees with basic software or hardware training and training materials during orientation.
- Create and maintain users, extensions, and buttons on phone systems.
- Create and maintain users for security awareness training systems.
- Edit and maintain employee directory and group permissions on the intranet.
- Create and update instructional documentation for staff on software program essentials.
- Maintains office equipment (telephone, printers, faxes, copiers, credit card machines, scanners, cellphones, iPads, conference room equipment, two-way radios, and paging system through troubleshooting and resolving issues and problems. Arranges for preventative maintenance and repairs.
- Logs daily backup results
- Transport tapes to an offsite location for monthly rotation.
- Provide support to end users.
- Provides on-call coverage.
- Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work practices and instructions.
Education/Training/Experience:
- Minimum of High School diploma (or equivalent).
- Minimum of 3 years experience in IT related field, an associate degree or equivalent experience.
- Requires a strong knowledge of computers and how they operate, which includes having a broad understanding of hardware and software, processors, chips, programs, and circuit boards.
