Full-time ESOL Project Coordinator position
The Center for Family Life in Sunset Park is seeking a Program Coordinator / ESOL Instructor to provide support and coordination for the Adult Literacy Program located at a migrant shelter in Midtown Manhattan.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Designing and executing outreach, recruitment, screening, pre-assessment, and enrollment of new applicants to meet program goals
- Conducting intake and assessments (English language testing (BEST Plus)
- Collaborating with ESL instructors on curriculum design, scheduling, assessment, and classroom performance to ensure successful student outcomes.
- Providing case management to students which includes creating individual training plans, addressing barriers, referrals to social services, and observing confidentiality.
- Identifying and establishing reciprocal referral relationships with other training providers, social service agencies, and local immigrant organizations to meet students' needs.
- Participating in funder update meetings and reporting activities,
- Ensuring student records are complete for audit.
- Managing database system ensuring all student data is entered timely and accurately
- The coordinator might be asked to cover classes for teachers when necessary
Desired Qualifications :
This is a full-time position, 35 hours per week.
Salary : $45,000 with benefits [Medical, dental, vision, 403(b) Retirement plan, PTO, and other voluntary benefits]
