What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family Partner position at Center For family Resources?
General Summary:
Under the direct supervision of the Family Success Center Program Coordinator, and following the policies and guidelines set forth by Center for Family Resources, the Family Partner Specialist will be responsible for interacting with families and assisting them into taking part in the life of the center in various manners ranging from advisory board leadership to taking advantage of the programming being offered by the FSC. The Family Service Partner will develop and maintain a robust family engagement approach including the development of family success plans as needed or as required by the program supervisor.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate family access to services as needed including transportation where possible
- Facilitate parent involvement and parent leadership at the Center
- Advocate for and with families, as needed and increase the family's ability to problem solve and advocate for themselves and their children
- Develop Family Success Plans in partnership with families based on the goals of the family. (As needed)
- Participate and assist in coordination of Center activities and events
Requirements:
- AA Human Services or related field
- 2 years' experience with community based services, prevention programs or any other human services programs
- Ability to relate well to young children, parents, the community, and fellow staff members
- Valid Driver's License
- Bilingual preferred!
