Job Type/Status: Full Time
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for assisting FPS Program Director in the clinical and administrative operations of the FPS Program
- Maintains a caseload of 4 families a year, utilizing FPS program model and providing concrete services if necessary. Is directly accessible to families 24 hours a day/7days a week
- Assists families by actively referring them to appropriate longer-term services and support, if necessary
- Works cooperatively with staff from CP&P and other community agencies, especially regarding case management issues
- Participates in on-going training provided by DCF and Rutgers University
- Completes all necessary paperwork in a timely basis and in a professional manner
- Supervises the 3,6- and 12-month follow-ups of families to determine success of FPS interventions
REQUIREMENTS:
- Master of Social Work (MSW) degree or Masters in related counseling field
- Must have a car, valid registration, insurance and driver's license
- Experience working with families and children, and knowledge of crisis intervention, cognitive/behavioral skills, communication skills
- Overall ability to relate to and engage multi-problem families
- Capability to absorb and utilize skills presented within the FPS training
