Position Summary:
The Residential Aide is responsible for assisting in the coordination of residential services and providing professional treatment and care to residents. The role involves creating a safe space for families residing within the shelter. This position reports to the Program Supervisor.

Job Type/Status: Full-time
Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure the safety and security of all Mother/Child Residential facilities by conducting regular checks and reporting any maintenance concerns.
Assist with ensuring overall maintenance of Mother/Child Residential, including cleaning, organizing, identifying maintenance concerns, and completing daily duties.
Answer all phone calls, document them, and make referrals as necessary.
Complete intake form for potential residents and facilitate intakes for incoming residents, including orientating them, providing keys, and giving them intake supplies.
Maintain residential client files, including completing/filing incident reports.
Ensure residents follow program expectations/guidelines.
Assist all residents with the requirements needed to ensure their well-being.
Provide house meetings for residents, as necessary.
Provides "in-home" support to residents including modeling parenting, working with residents on conflict resolution, and enhancing life skills
Assist resident with resources/referrals
Assist with on-call schedule as needed.
Complies with the program's documentation policies
Imposes consequences to clients for not complying with the program guidelines and expectations
Completes phone intakes; assists with intakes of new clients; assists with discharging clients
Other duties assigned by the Program Supervisor and/or Program Director
REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or GED
At least two years of experience working with program population
Maintains First A and CPR certifications, as required by funder and licensing agent for specific programs pertinent to this position
Must have and maintain a valid Driver's License in the state of his/her residence if job is classified as Occasional or Essential driving
Must have and maintain automobile insurance if driving a personal vehicle
