Center For Family Services is looking for a responsible and organized Senior Residential Counselor for the Yes Children Shelter Program. This position requires providing program management including supervision of staff in carrying out direct service activities pertinent to the goals of the program. It also requires assessments for groups and performing administrative functions.
Location: Blackwood, NJ
Job Status: Full Time
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Residential Care Provider engages in caring supervision and structure for youth in residence which is consistent with stated goals and objectives as well as provides life skills training, co-leads physical education and recreation, and guides, instructs and counsels youth in the program. The Residential Care Provider oversees goal setting groups and provides on-to-one assistance and engages youth. This individual provides transportation to and from appointments and also is a substitute in the event of a staff absence. The Residential Care Provider ensures that youth complete their goals as set forth in their treatment plan.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Supervisory experience required
- At least 3 years experience required
- Current driver's license with a driving record of at least three years
- Vehicle with current insurance and registration
