Position Summary:

Center for Family Services is seeking a dynamic, self-starter to fill our Volunteer Community Partnership Coordinator Position within our Inland Family Success Center. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The Volunteer Community Partnership Coordinator is responsible for gathering, understanding and sharing community resources and Volunteers development by integrating him/herself into the immediate community and building mutually beneficial relationships with parents, faith communities, business, advocates and key stakeholders.

Experience and Requirements:

  • Associates Degree and experience recruiting and training volunteers.

  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred in related field.

  • Must have and maintain a valid NJ Driver's License.

  • Must have and maintain valid auto insurance if utilizing a personal vehicle.

  • Ability to understand and carry out written and oral direction.

  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.

  • Ability to exercise judgment and discretion.

  • Bilingual applicants encouraged to apply.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Treats colleagues and family members as individuals with respect and dignity.

  • Completes documentation and other reporting requirements.

  • Participates in outreach activities in the community.

  • Coordinates FSC community events as well as creates a monthly FSC calendar that captures the events and activities.

  • Conducts self as a role model in interactions with staff, colleagues and funding sources in accordance with Center for Family Services' Code of Ethics.

  • Supervise and coordinate Volunteers to ensure quality services and events at Family Success Center.

  • Facilitate monthly meetings with volunteers.

  • Responsible for gathering, understanding and sharing community resources and volunteer development by integrating themself into the immediate community and building mutually beneficial relationships.

  • Incorporates and implements the Principles of Family Support, Strengthening Families Logic Model, and the Protective Factors into all aspects of their work.

  • Demonstrates positive family engagement skills.

  • Occasionally pick up supplies utilizing personal vehicle.

  • One-two evenings a week, a minimum of one Saturday a month.

  • Assists the Director in designing and maintaining furniture, decorations, and food to make the FSC homelike, reflecting the culture of the FSC and community.

  • Assists in keeping the center clean and organized.
