Overview:
The Grounds Keeper Associate maintains the Center's grounds to ensure they are safe, functional, and aesthetically beautiful. The Associate will ensure trees, shrubs, and grasses are free of debris and dead foliage and are maintained to reduce the risk of brush fires or impacts from hurricanes.
Duties:
- Maintaining the condition and appearance of foliage and grounds.
- Weeding, watering, planting, and trimming
- Cleaning and painting
- Keeping grounds free from obstructions, trash, litter, debris, invasive grasses.
- Cleaning and maintaining equipment and materials.
- Following applicable safety guidelines and procedures.
- Performing other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- To ensure success, you must use your multitasking abilities to meet the required maintenance standards for the Center’s grounds at all times.
- Hard working, detail-oriented and organized.
- Be able to lift 50 pounds and carry for a short distance routinely.
- Be able to work outdoors in inclement weather, including rain, heat, and humidity, for extended periods (Frequently)
- Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time (frequently)
- Ability to crouch, kneel, and reach overhead (frequently)
