Center for Human Development, Inc. is seeking a Day Time Crisis Therapist/Coordinator to provide comprehensive behavioral health screenings, assessments, and evaluations to individuals with complex clinical needs in a crisis setting. They will also coordinate an existing team of in-house crisis workers.

The Requirements:
- Master's Degree in a social science field required.* To qualify as a QMHP.
- Supervision available to pursue licensure.
- CADC or willingness to pursue certification.
- Experience in MRT, forensic community based collaborative treatment desirable.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of assessment and treatment planning.
- Willing to perform occasional on call crisis duties.
- All Master level QMHP’s must be credentialed as a mental health investigator or willing to pursue credentialing.
- Must possess a valid Oregon Driver’s license and be insurable for client service purposes, travel between business offices, and to attend required meeting and/or trainings.
- Must pass all criminal history check requirements as required by ORS 181.536-181.537 and in accordance with OAR 407-007-0200-407-007-0370 and drug screening.
- *If masters degree has not been obtained, to be considered for this position you must be attending school and have at least 30 credits based on quarter completed, or 20 credits based on semester completed
Essential Job Functions:
- Provide daytime crisis coverage Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm and coordinate an existing team of in-house crisis workers to ensure 24-hour, 7 day a week mental health crisis response to Union County.
- Promptly responds to all crisis calls, ensuring service levels meet the needs of individuals in the community. Work locations to include but not limited to: client homes, community spaces, and other locations where clients may be present.
- Conduct in-person risk assessment to evaluate situation and determine appropriate supports and interventions.
- Pre-commitment and commitment functions to include testifying in court. Coordinate discharge planning activities for individuals in state hospital and other residential settings.
- Provide clinical services such as MH and A&D assessments, treatment planning and individual and group therapy using trauma informed services to minimize trauma in all patients.
- Must be available to receive calls on the designated crisis phone and ensure prompt response to all calls, regardless of location. Individuals in this role may be eligible to use their personnel cell phone, but must maintain adequate cell service from their homebased office.
- Responsible for developing and maintaining positive relationships with community partners such as Grande Ronde Hospital, local and state law enforcement, courts, public schools, etc.
- Responsible for developing alternatives to hospitalization and efforts are directed at minimizing hospitalization.
- Other duties as assigned.
