About the Job
The Director of Finance and Controls will lead our finance team in overseeing all general accounting activities in accordance with GAAP and fiscal management practices for non-profit companies and the healthcare industry.
This leadership role will involve assurance and consulting services, developing continuous improvement quality assurance and quality improvement (QA/QI) metrics, key performance indicator (KPI) metrics, and safeguarding the organization's assets.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of fund accounting, principles of accounting, budgeting, auditing, strategic concepts, continuous improvement theory and models, tax-exempt organizations, laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to the healthcare industry and government grants.
Responsibilities:
- Oversight of general accounting activities
- Assurance and consulting services
- Development of QA/QI and KPI metrics
- Safeguarding of organizational assets
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- Certification as a Certified Managerial Accountant (CMA) and Certified Strategy and Competitive Analyst (CSCA) preferred
- Demonstrated breadth of organizational, business, and accounting experience
- Knowledge of state and local funding streams and rules, healthcare industry experience, billing, and electronic health record systems preferred
- Valid Oregon Driver's license and insurability for client service purposes, travel between offices, and attendance at meetings and trainings
- Pass background check requirements
