What are the responsibilities and job description for the Health Record Quality Auditor position at Center for Human Development?
The Center for Human Development, (CHD) is seeking a highly experienced Health Record Quality Auditor to join CHD’s Organizational Excellence team. This is a full-time, fully onsite position located in Springfield, MA.
Your role as the Health Record Quality Auditor:
The Health Record Quality Auditor will examine client records for accuracy, completeness and compliance with clinical, regulatory, and agency standards. They will identify gaps, potential risks and verify adherence to guidelines and standards. By identifying and addressing issues, the auditor will contribute in the delivery of high quality healthcare services and minimize legal and financial risks, improve the quality of healthcare documentation and ultimately client care.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree from an accredited Social Work program.
- Valid license as a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) in Massachusetts or License Clinical Social Worker In Connecticut
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing program and valid licensed as a Registered Nurse in Massachusetts or Connecticut
- Previously experience in mental health, substance abuse and medical treatment modalities and assessment tools.
- Previous experience with Electronic Health Record systems, NetSmart’s myEvolve preferred.
Success Factors:
The ideal Health Record Quality Auditor will have knowledge of state regulations (MassHealth, DPH, EEC, BSAS, DDS, BORIM etc.). They will leverage their experience and understanding of clinical treatment to review chart/clinical information, ask appropriate questions, analyze data and present rationale for improvement recommendations to operational, clinical and medical professionals. Candidate must be highly organized with effective problem-solving skills, a strong aptitude for computer functionality, specifically with the Office suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook.
